Photography holds great significance for me. It’s not just a new set of eyes to view the world, but a form of memory encapsulation. It allows me to extend experiences beyond their fleeting nature, creating a unique and personal archive. Through my camera, I can preserve and curate moments, building a library that safeguards memories from the passage of time and potential alterations. This is my visual collection, a glimpse into my unique perspective.
I acquired my first film camera in my early youth and immediately connected with the medium. For me, photography serves two purposes: to preserve memories, and to share how I see the world, in that order.
I vividly remember the semester I took a black-and-white analog photography class and spent four hours alone in the darkroom. Just me, the faint red light, and the sound of the faucet running in the chemical wash bath. It felt natural to be there, meticulously adjusting the enlargement machinery by the millimeter. I loved every second of it..
Welcome to my darkroom.
